Social Value Portal is set out to make a realistic, tangible difference to community responsibility by giving government and business a clear, practical methodology for measuring and improving their social value. Helping social value pioneers stake their claim on corporate without alienating the public sector..

The challenge

Having achieved great success with the public sector, this mission-driven organisation needed a thought leadership-driven website to stake their claim on the private sector, and a pin-sharp brand to cut through the corporate cacophony.

Rebranding into an exciting, engaging personality that reflects both the good the brand does, and the sophistication of the tools behind it. From there, create a best-practice, SEO-optimised website that drives organic traffic and conversions.

Our response

  • We created a brand essence that was simple and easy to understand, highlighting SVP’s work in turning intention into action, and maximising the impact.
  • An adapted logo aligned with the ambition of being bolder and energetic, and a four-point colour gradient represented the values of collaboration, transparency, community and accountability.
  • Audience, Brand and Content workshops were put to use to create website user journeys and full-funnel content that took the user right down the path to conversion.
  • Our brand book featured simple iconography that incorporated well-known wayfinding symbols and a community of shapes that communicated fitting together.
  • Photography styles steered clear of stock imagery, while animations took the brand and proposition further from soulless to soulful.

The reaction

“Really excited to be going live today with our new branding, with a massive thanks to both teams who have done an amazing job. We’ve changed the way we look and it feels like we’ve grown up.”

Guy Battle, CEO, Social Value Portal.
