Rotherham College and North Notts College merged in 2015 to form the RNN Group. Both colleges became members of the group and needed new websites to represent their new identities and address the needs of their audiences.
The group were looking for a solution that was easy to update, allowing the colleges to have their own identities but be easily manageable under one system.
Lesniak Swann designed and built the framework on our WordPress Multisite platform and the user journey was simplified in line with the specific needs of web users. Information deemed unnecessary was stripped out and each course was given a category area which contained career opportunities open to students post study and student success stories. Galleries and slideshows were built into the design of the templates so photographs and other visuals could be uploaded easily to inform and engage the audience.
The Rotherham College website was launched in January 2017 and North Nott’s College launched in June 2017. For Rotherham College website we have already seen an impact in the first five months. The website has had 20,000 more new visitors and over 51,000 more page views since launching earlier this year. This demonstrates it pays to have the right website solution with SEO and the relevant targeted campaigns.
