Training Courses 2019

We run regular training sessions for our staff and our clients on a wide range of essential marketing and digital topics.

The aim is to provide an opportunity for people to gain new skills and understanding to help them grow within their job roles and optimise their performance.

The sessions are held in Stoke and are open to external attendees, too. Training is free to staff, clients and contacts up to a maximum number of places.

If you or your colleagues would like to attend, get in touch with your Account Manager for further details and to book a place on your chosen course. If you’re not a client, please contact us to book your place.

Strategy

This interactive course teaches how to distinguish genuine strategic thinking from the varieties usually offered to us in the business world. Real life examples are used on the day, to illustrate three levels of strategic approach: brand strategy, communications strategy and overall business strategy. Attendees will try their hand at exercises aimed at identifying opportunities for strategic thinking within their business, and will learn about the advantages of strategic planning. The session then focuses down on brand/communication strategy, looking at how to use structured thinking to inform communication plans. After the course, attendees should better understand how to look for and leverage strategic advantage, as well as how to test whether current or future strategic plans are fit for purpose.  The course is led by Danny Herbert, Managing Director of Spring Thinking, who add value and experience to a variety of businesses and brands. The training session is a combination of lectures and interactive sections and is suitable for a mixture of client/agency audiences.

Insightment

Often described as the halfway house between marketing and creative, true ‘insight’ can be elusive. Some of the most successful campaigns start with key insights; after this course attendees will leave with inspiration, tips for creative thinking, and skills to create these insights. Attendees will learn an intensely practical approach to unlocking business problems using the power of playful creativity. The course is based on the book ‘The Inspiratorium’ by award winning author, Anthony Tasgal. Tas also acts as course director for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Market Research Society.
