San Fran to Stoke: new director boosts digital capabilities

He’s built and sold a product and service design agency with offices in Manchester, London, New York and San Francisco.

He’s worked as Vice President of Design at US-based EPAM Systems, helping his clients to stay ahead of their competition in the new digital economy.

And now Stoke-born Matt Farrar is returning to his roots, bringing his 23 years of global expertise to Lesniak Swann as a Non-Executive Director. Matt’s arrival will broaden our strategic consulting offering, delivering advantage to our B2B customers through effective human communication.

Matt says: “I have a strong design background and, more recently, three years’ exposure to bleeding edge advanced technology.  Over the last 10 years I’ve been working with big business transformational programmes using design, technology and data as the key change agents. And I’ve worked in teams where I’ve been able to advise large clients at C-level on strategy, very often led by validated customer need.”

During his career Matt’s worked with brands like MasterCard, Schroders, Gucci,, Yamaha and Deustche Bank.

“There are several key areas we’ll be focusing on in this new role,” he says, “First and foremost, we’ll be aiming to elevate the conversation around digital transformation to help B2B clients really make the most of the enormous opportunities it offers, in terms both of their own efficiency and measurable performance, and the way they envision, design, build, market and sell their products and services. I have experience of doing just that with other businesses. Coupled with Lesniak Swann’s expertise, track record and commitment, my advice will be a great fit.”
